Day 29: Capstones

Imag0473

Today I gave students class time to work on their capstone projects. In the picture, two students are constructing an elliptical wall that will keep a marble rolling in an ellipse. They plan on taking video and analyzing it to see how the marble's motion changes as it rolls around the ellipse.

For more information on capstones, see John Burk's blog. He's got several posts on capstones, including this one which introduces the concept: http://bit.ly/qn01ir
