Day 146: Experimental Ranking Task

I found this ranking task in the Spiral Physics curriculum. My students don't know the formula for the period of spring-mass system, nor is that the point of our explorations.?? What I really like about this task is that, even though my students don't know the formula, they should be able to experimentally figure out the ranking (even though they don't have those exact masses and spring constants) and then hopefully even generalize to a "time factor" which would be the ratio of mass/spring constant. In other words, if one system has twice the spring constant of the other, then the mass would need to half in order for both systems to have the same period.
