Day 3: Lab Notebook Organization

I've decided to go back to using lab notebooks. I'm not super prepared enough to have handouts for all my labs to put in their unit packets. I tried just doing labs in whiteboards last year, but with just one data recorder per group, I found land quickly turned into more socializing and less labbing. The notebook gives everyone something to write down.

I have one letter holder per group, coded by group color. Students must have their notebook every day. First group member to class gets all three notebooks (reduces traffic). If a student is absent, any handouts given can be easily slipped into that person's notebook by a fellow lab partner (reduces "did I miss any worksheets?").
